5 DVDs TO BE RELEASED IN 2006

Fighting Films plan to release five DVDs in the next six months, including the company’s first back-catalogue transfer from video to DVD.

The first DVD, on sale today, is the highlights package of the 2006 GB World Cup, which was recently broadcast on Sky Sports.

This will soon be followed by Part 3 of the 2005 World Championships - The Team Event, which took place in Cairo, Egypt.

Parts 1 and 2 of the Worlds will be next, along with Modern Competitive Judo - which will be converted from video.

"Along with our aim of regularly releasing new DVDs," said FF Director Simon Hicks, "we will also begin the process of converting VHS-only productions, starting with MCJ."

Modern Competitive Judo will be entirely re-structured to fit a DVD format, and will have lots of extras and bonuses included.

There will be access to both Neil Adams’ 1981 World final victory and Karen Briggs’ glory in the 1989 Worlds final, biographies, photo galleries and inclusion of the 25 minute GB World Cup highlights package.
