ADAMS AND BRIGGS READY TO BE RELEASED

DVD Cover Fighting Films is poised to release ‘Adams and Briggs - Modern Competitive Judo’ within the next month.

The 93 minute, multi-language DVD will be the first FF production which includes both world class coaching and a world class competition.

It includes the entire 1996 MCJ production, which up until now has only been available on video, and the Fighting Films GB World Cup 2006 for women.

"I have a huge admiration for Neil and Karen’s contribution to world judo", said FF Director Simon Hicks. "They are two of the finest fighters the world has ever seen, and I believe this DVD is a fitting tribute to the pair of them."

In Adams and Briggs, Britain’s finest ever judoka explain and demonstrate the major techniques of modern judo, focusing on the throws and groundwork that won them so many international medals.

First shown in a studio the techniques are then illustrated with numerous competition examples from Fighting Films’ vast competition library.

A revolutionary menu system on the DVD allows the viewer to scroll in and out of all the intricacies of every technique taught by Adams and Briggs.

The DVD contains numerous extra features, including a photo gallery by IJF photographer Bob Willingham, biographies of both fighters, entire World finals, and the GB World Cup. This 24 minute bonus programme was widely described as one of the best judo events ever to be held in Great Britain and was featured on Sky Sports.
