This Christmas Fighting Films will have two new competition DVDs on sale, in the shape of the 2005 World Judo Championships from Cairo and the 2006 World Team Championships from Paris.
All the best moments from the 2005 Worlds and highlights from all 16 finals are crammed onto one fast-paced DVD. The 2006 Teams, which took place in Bercy, Paris, on September 16-17, has action from both mens and women’s competitions.
FF Director Simon Hicks said: "Taken alongside the releases of da Costa’s ‘Shinjido’ and ‘Adams and Briggs’, I’m delighted that we now have four new top quality DVDs available for Christmas."
The 2005 Worlds is unlike the normal structure of an FF competition film, which are normally set over two DVDs. With it being on one DVD the production has a frantic pace to it, with only the best ippons being selected from preliminaries and only the best moments in the final being included.
Meanwhile, the 2006 Teams, which was regarded by many as one of the most exciting judo tournaments of all time, has been brought to you exclusively by Fighting Films.
Filmed in 16:9, the 2006 Teams is FF’s first widescreen production. With a line-up of the best fighters in the world, a buzzing crowd and some of the biggest shocks in modern judo, the DVD could be one of the company’s best-sellers.
Both DVDs will be priced £25 each and will be released on December 11.
