NOTHING BUT THE BEST WILL DO FOR GORDON

The Commonwealth Games Champion and European bronze medallist Winston Gordon has followed Karina Bryant’s decision to wear the Fighting Films Master Gi for the rest of his career.

Gordon, who has worn both Adidas and Fighting Films previously, decided that the quality of the Master Gi far outweighed the Adidas equivalent.

“The Master Gi is more tailored and fitted to my body shape,” said Gordon. “I've got such long arms and with the Adidas kits they shrink up and you can't wear them again. With the Master Gi's I wash it and it stays the same size.”

Gordon, who fights at –90kgs, is building his training towards the World Championships in Rio and the Fighting Films GB World in September.

His best results were in the 2004 Olympic Games, where he progressed to the semi-final, and the bronze medal he took in the 2006 European Championships.

Both times Gordon was wearing the Master gi. The 30-year-old’s current FF kit has held strong for the last four years in all the major international tournaments.

He added: “It’s such a good, comfortable kit. I'll feel good in it, I feel at home in it. It's not heavy for me and it fits like a glove. I'll wear it for the rest of my career.”
