Welcome to Fighting Films

Based in Bristol, UK, Fighting Films is the world’s leading producer and supplier of judo DVDs, books and kits. We are the one-stop shop for all coaches, players and fans of the sport.

Anything in judo you could possibly want we sell, from our tatami and judogi ranges to our extensive list of DVD and Ippon Book productions.

Fighting Films have broadcast judo events for the BBC, Central Television and Sky Sports in the UK, Eurosport throughout Europe and for the world when we were host broadcasters for the 1999 World Championships in Birmingham, England. As the official videographers for the International Judo Federation we have filmed and produced all records of the Olympic Games and World Championships since 1989.

Our renowned DVD & VIDEO list also contains numerous special interest and coaching productions. This includes the 2005 ground-breaking, multiple-language, IJF Coaching Series and the famous 101 Judo Ippons collection.

GEEMAT, Fighting Films’ mat range, has been used for the British Open since 1984, the 2002 Commonwealth Games and many other tournaments.

We have also launched the RED LABEL GI and BLACK LABEL GI which, as good quality and affordable kits, have been a huge success. Clubs ordering in bulk can have their badges sewn onto the gis during manufacture.

IPPON BOOKS offers you a wide selection of general and special interest titles within judo, including the popular A-Z of Judo. There are stories and anecdotes to entertain you, and, of course, we publish the famous Judo Masterclass Series.

Along with our internet shop we have a regularly updated Fighting Films NEWS PAGE where you can catch up on the latest projects Fighting Films are taking on and breaking news in the FF world of judo.

There's also BEHIND THE CAMERA, an ongoing article, which currently features an interview with FF's Danny Hicks about the making of the 2007 World Judo Championships DVDs.
